Align to Your Good: Let IT Be
[This is from a talk I gave Sunday, August 7, 2016 at the Center for Spiritual Living Central Texas. I will upload it once I’ve cleaned the audio file.]

“When I find myself in times of trouble
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.”
Let It Be is your soul’s portal beyond the woes of yesteryears and the fears of future years. It is your place of peace, of solace, of causation and of being in and receiving unconditional love and guidance.There’s no defense to push against. There’s no judgment to condemn. There’s no stance except one of peace and acceptance knowing you have the support of life to handle anything and everything in life.
“And when the broken hearted people
Living in the world agree,
There will be an answer, let it be.”
From there, that place of acceptance and peace, then find an answer… Let IT Be.
“And when the night is cloudy,
There is still a light that shines on me,
Shine on until tomorrow, let it be.”
In this Let It Be state of being there is an inner Light that shines the way. Allow it.
How to Practice
Set this Inner Goal
Shift your inner self into a neutral place where you accept it, drop the judgments, the telling it to change, the critical eye, the condemnation, lack of acceptance whatever it is you think will change by pushing against it. Really. Has it ever worked? And lasted?
To change something from within we must accept it as it is, first.
Let It Be.
Some will discover a great secret to self improvement once they let go of that control thing and shift to ‘Let It Be’ mode. Just do it for one little thing in life. Experiment. Yes, It can be ‘trying’ to change this; it was challenging for me, a previous uber super Type A.
This ‘Let It Be’ state of being is an inner place where we can learn to direct our thoughts, feelings, emotions, energies, and assist our own healing process. I am a living testimony having begun learning in my early twenties while living and working in Indonesia and it continues to amaze me as to how much of our inner resources we can utilize to steer our life as we desire it to be.
If this is new to you, then hang in there with me… I’m an engineer and this all makes more sense as you learn, even from a science-based approach.
When something happens or someone says something that you would normally react to, make a simple choice to handle it differently.
BE in charge of Yourself
Pause Life. Set an intent to be in charge of yourself.
Move the stressful energies
Take a deep breath in. Hold it for a moment.
Then release it imagining and feeling some of the stress-filled energy leaving you while exhaling your breath.
Allow yourself to relax in mind, body and heart.
Repeat a few more times.
Turn a portion of your mental/heart attention within and observe your thoughts, what you are saying to yourself, what you are hearing others say to you in your head, notice if this is a pattern, sense the tone.
Expand into another Dimension to Life
We use our brain to access logical thoughts (use mostly left brain hemisphere) and intuitive thoughts (use mostly right brain hemisphere)…under our control, by the way.
We use our heart to sense the depth, the energy, the inner senses of what is going on. The heart accesses another dimension to life. You know you have met people who have no heart connection in operation and then those who do. There is a difference to the person and to the thoughts each has access to. This is written as a tease for a new concept I have received and done some research concerning the interactions of the Logical Mind + Intuitive Mind + Heart Mind Space. They all work together.
I teach/coach this stuff. Life becomes much more than just 3-Dimensional. It becomes satiating, fulfilling, achievements of innermost desires.
Some people are sensitive to feeling their heart space. How do these thoughts make you feel? Joyous and happy or upset at the past? Do they raise you up above past life woes or leave you clinging to them? Where will they lead you, to your dreams or to your sadness?
Be Deliberate in Your Thoughts
Create, select and craft the thoughts that take you where you want to go in life. Identify those thoughts that do not…and pull them like you pull weeds out of a flower bed.
Then immediately plant the seed of some newly crafted thoughts from the previous step to be mindful.
Nourish the new thought-seed:
- Write it down in first person: I have __. I Am __. I am doing __.
- Read it frequently.
- Own it every single time you think of it…as if it is you, already.
- Feel it viscerally using your imagination. Choose the feelings that go with having it.
- Take some time to close your eyes, relax and create some dreams about having it, doing it, being it. Play with it. Embrace it, as if it is you and your life.
Be committed and persistent
Remember the power of commitment only has the limit that are its owner’s limit…you. Whatever you believe is your limit, is, by definition. You establish your limits.Read this poem by Goethe; it’s on this blog and can be downloaded.
Keep at it. Using these inner power skills the only way you do not get what you want is if you give up. By definition, the Universe, the Intelligent Quantum Field, the God/Spirit/Buda… always says ‘YES’ to your deep-seated requests of life.
Set yourself up for Success
Practice this on easier things in the beginning, Do not try to use this on the most difficult thing. Select easy, simple things to learn how it feels to approach it differently. Practice it and learn that you can gain dominion over you and your inner self.
I find that worthwhile
This is a natural way for high achievers to improve themselves: Always find that place to accept life as it, Let It Be, because from there you can most effectively initiate change.
