Your Imagination is Your Way Out of a Limited Life Box
Everyone goes through phases where something in life is too rote or not working anymore or it is just time for that change. The more a person evolves in this lifetime, the more a person has to grow out of limiting life boxes.
The challenge is that people tend to linger on what is not working. Neuroscientists say that the brain is designed to learn a habit and stick with it. It is in our brain’s wiring, i.e. neural programming. One loud NO registers immediately and the brain changes. It takes several strong YES’s to register in the brain.

The great news is that consciousness supersedes habitual programming. It just takes knowing how.
Proper use of consciousness leads us out of stuck-ness
Every single thing we have done in life involves imagining it first. It is such an automatic process that we may not be aware of it. And it is our saving grace in life. The imagination creates the life framework to change and, done at the right brain frequency, reprograms the heart and brain neurons so that we can accomplish a desired change in life.
So, have your pity party 🙂 It is a part of the process…and oh my, I have had mine for way too long. At some point we are recreating the same thing over and over. When we only use our logical mind it is so focused on the past that it is recreating it for the future, over and over. Life becomes a continuous groundhog day, as in the movie.
Until we declare STOP the madness!
Make the shift:
Pause your normal thoughts.
Focus on deep breathing for a few moments. Breathe in through your nose being mindful of the air flow coming in. Hold it to the count of three. Exhale through the mouth noticing the flow of air coming up from your lungs, out your mouth. Do this a few times.
The more you focus on this flow of air, the more you remove the energy from those incessant thoughts and shift into your inner center where all real power comes forth.
That begins the shift.
Focus your attention onto what you desire, as if you have it, and let the energy that was fueling the old thoughts bring life to what you desire.
This shifts you onto your new chosen path.
Rinse and repeat. Do this process daily or even multiple times each day. This tells yourself that ‘I am making this change’. And you are telling Life, the Universe, what you desire instead. Stick with it to observe new ideas, opportunities and more come to you.
I hope this helps begin your process of change. Have patience and be willing to do something new to see the results you have in life.

Someone asks you if you want to go skydiving. You reply quickly ‘I can’t imagine doing that’.
Or, do you want to expand into a bigger or nicer home. “I can’t imagine that.”
Someone describes their life of abundance. You think to yourself “I can’t imagine that for me’.
It is a good practice to start noticing your automatic replies to things. Wonder if maybe it’s just not for you or maybe it’s an unconscious limit showing itself to be re-looked at to see if that stills applies to who you are now.
These are declarative statements we sometimes make when something seems too big, too outside the box, too much abundance or too (whatever). And sometimes we just do not have interest or curiosity. That’s valid when it truly applies.
The truth is people say these things without conscious thought. Wherever they were adopted from, they are showing you and others your limits. Recognize that some limits are necessary and some just stop us from growing. If you don’t catch your self or have a friend notice what you say, then you may be giving clues as to why you are not able to change, be who you choose to be or not achieve your goals.

We are so much more powerful than we ever give ourselves credit for. There is a way to use our brain, as it is designed, to make changes within ourselves and in our experiences of life.
Cognitive therapists talk about how our brain is designed to use both cognitive and intuitive functioning. The approaches I have learned activate the mostly unknown truth that we can also use our intuitive functioning just as easily as we use our logic. It provides immeasurable benefits.
It just takes the right training.
I first learned how to use Left/Right Brain Integration Skills at age 24. It has empowered me in ways that my students now experience; below. The fantastic news is that once we use these skills our life opens up and we can continue to expand out of any small life box in which we find ourselves.

To the question at hand… Bending the matrix of reality
Yes, you can bend reality and you are doing this yet are simply unaware that your thoughts cause the results in life.
Thus my favorite topic… How do we tap into our inner potential to alter life?
I first learned precise thinking and visualization to cause a change within me or externally in life, in Malaysia as a young engineer living and working in Indonesia. These skills directly empowered me to improve my job performance significantly. And management started noticing my achievements and performance under those stressful and sometimes dangerous situations.
It truly is nice to be able to choose your desired behavior, task performance or pain release through lining up your thoughts in a precise manner leading to achieving with greater ease, less struggle.
Find a better path through reality to what you want in life
When we make choices about what we want in life and practice living them within our own trained imagination we are literally programming our brain neurons to be able to recognize and act upon ‘the goal’ when opportunities start coming to us. It also sends out energy from your body’s energetic system to move the matrix of reality creating a path leading towards the desired result.
This may sound fanciful or too science fiction and it happens to be true.
As an affirmed geek I just luv this stuff. And it is practical, repeatable, follows laws and principle of the unseen forces that cause life, and leads us to becoming who we want to become.and to achieving what we are impelled to achieve.
Procedure to bend reality to be a path to achieve your results:
Select a relaxed atmosphere inside or outside
Find that ‘just right’ position to sit and get relaxed
Close your eyes
Place you attention on the airflow going in and out of your nostrils and mouth as you breathe in through your mouth
Hold it for a few seconds at the top then exhale deeply
Continue breathing in and out as your body and mind relax
Tell unwanted thoughts to float on like a cloud in the sky
Create in your imagination, using your senses, of having the result you are choosing to create in your life
Be sure to generate the emotions of having it. This fuels it

You have a friendship, a working relationship, a bromance or a romance with someone and suddenly you feel a little less heart from him or her. Slowly or quickly that person closes off to you. You do not understand or know what happened. And most people do not ask difficult questions to clarify things and many people will not tell the truth in difficult conversations. That seems to be the societal norm.
What happens between people in all kinds of relationships that slowly separates them? Of course there could be other specific reasons for that. I want to cover a phenomenon that some people may not be aware of yet. An impact on relationships that stems from the societal norm of being nice or the fear of being authentic. Maybe it is the lack of trained skills to develop and deepen relationships.
Foundation for this approach to communication
Effective Communication is when both people involved are willing to change as a result of this communication. More details on this at this blogpost
We create these blocks that can be called ‘withholds’ between people and we do not realize the impact on our closeness.
Successful Workforce
Every time you judge someone for something you lay a brick between you and them.
Each time you do not clarify a misunderstanding with someone you lay more bricks between you and them.
When you hear something contrary about someone and spread that to others you lay more bricks in a wall of separation.
When you say something about them behind their back you continue building a wall of separation.
You are putting up a brick in an eventual wall of separation if you keep judging that person without communicating with them.
This wall within you then distorts any perspective on that person. It affects your ability to see him or her accurately. The wall begins to fully separate as all past clarity gets obfuscated and covered up.
Then consider the fact that inter-human communication is at least 90% nonverbal and we realize that person has nonverbally picked up on our thoughts that separate us, also.
And we wonder why we have a hard time connecting with people in general. Our perspectives, walls and other foibles distort the clarity of who they are within our mind and who we are in their mind.
Walls that separate
Any brick we do not reexamine to see if it can be dissolved will maintain separation.
Do yourself a favor – seek clarity – because there is an additional truth about these thoughts of separation. They exist within your mind and each of them is a block holding you from your own good. Even if the person is to move out of your life it is best done clean. Heal then do conscious separation.
Why am I writing more about interrelation communication?
It is easy to say you want to be more spiritual or be a better person. In the beginning good and new things are happening as your heart and mind open up. As you deepen that way of being in life you will have some periods where things are rocky, the shadow journey that brings such great rewards for those courageous enough to proceed through it. Find those people who will be empowered and empowering throughout life or the lifetime of a project.
Ideas for practicing this
Take a breath and relax. Hold the desire to be clear with this person in your heart. Ask the person if you could talk privately.
When you do meet: Preferably sit across from each other knees to knees almost touching. No barriers. If it’s true for you, then say how difficult it is to ask this or say this. Then ask it in a non-accusatory way; be curious with it.
And listen with your ears, brain and heart. Respond from clear thinking not defenses.
When you hear something derogatory about someone, do you and them a favor. Do this especially if this information conflicts with your previous experiences with that person. Take a breath and say something like hey, I heard something about you that I wanted to tell you (or to ask you about).
Some of us have so many breaks within us including me. This was a big relief and I am grateful that I learned authentic life skills like these in my twenties. I have been practicing as much as I could as I find people or rarely groups who resonate with this level of authenticity and are willing to do it. This authentic approach sometimes does not work for some people.
My training with The Natale Institute has kept me away from gossip which means ultimately you become the subject of gossip. Some people have to throw shade at others. Watch this truth: If you are listening to someone gossip then you can rest assured that the person who was talking gossip about someone else to you will now turn and gossip about you to that someone else. It is not up to you. It is that person’s behavior. Make a choice as to what you want to be around.

Be in a ‘Let It Be’ mindset to effectively change life.

“When I find myself in times of trouble Mother Mary comes to me Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.”
Let It Be is your soul’s portal beyond the woes of yesteryears and the fears of future years. It is your place of peace, of solace, of causation and of being in and receiving unconditional love and guidance.There’s no defense to push against. There’s no judgment to condemn. There’s no stance except one of peace and acceptance knowing you have the support of life to handle anything and everything in life.
“And when the broken hearted people
Living in the world agree,
There will be an answer, let it be.”
From there, that place of acceptance and peace, then find an answer… Let IT Be.
“And when the night is cloudy, There is still a light that shines on me, Shine on until tomorrow, let it be.”
In this Let It Be state of being there is an inner Light that shines the way. Allow it.
We each have an ‘atmosphere’ of thoughts, beliefs, curiosities.
How to Practice
Set this Inner Goal
Shift your inner self into a neutral place where you accept it, drop the judgments, the telling it to change, the critical eye, the condemnation, lack of acceptance whatever it is you think will change by pushing against it. Really. Has it ever worked? And lasted?
To change something from within we must accept it as it is, first.
Let It Be.
The Secret
Some will discover a great secret to self improvement once they let go of that control thing and shift to ‘Let It Be’ mode. Just do it for one little thing in life. Experiment. Yes, It can be ‘trying’ to change this; it was challenging for me, a previous uber super Type A.
This ‘Let It Be’ state of being is an inner place where we can learn to direct our thoughts, feelings, emotions, energies, and assist our own healing process. I am a living testimony having begun learning in my early twenties while living and working in Indonesia and it continues to amaze me as to how much of our inner resources we can utilize to steer our life as we desire it to be.
If this is new to you, then hang in there with me… I’m an engineer and this all makes more sense as you learn, even from a science-based approach.
Suggested steps
When something happens or someone says something that you would normally react to, make a simple choice to handle it differently.
BE in charge of Yourself
Pause Life. Set an intent to be in charge of yourself.
Move the stressful energies
Take a deep breath in. Hold it for a moment.
Then release it imagining and feeling some of the stress-filled energy leaving you while exhaling your breath.
Allow yourself to relax in mind, body and heart.
Repeat a few more times.
Be Mindful of your Thoughts and Heart Space
Turn a portion of your mental/heart attention within and observe your thoughts, what you are saying to yourself, what you are hearing others say to you in your head, notice if this is a pattern, sense the tone.
Expand into another Dimension to Life
We use our brain to access logical thoughts (use mostly left brain hemisphere) and intuitive thoughts (use mostly right brain hemisphere)…under our control, by the way.
We use our heart to sense the depth, the energy, the inner senses of what is going on. The heart accesses another dimension to life. You know you have met people who have no heart connection in operation and then those who do. There is a difference to the person and to the thoughts each has access to. This is written as a tease for a new concept I have received and done some research concerning the interactions of the Logical Mind + Intuitive Mind + Heart Mind Space. They all work together.
I teach/coach this stuff. Life becomes much more than just 3-Dimensional. It becomes satiating, fulfilling, achievements of innermost desires.
Some people are sensitive to feeling their heart space. How do these thoughts make you feel? Joyous and happy or upset at the past? Do they raise you up above past life woes or leave you clinging to them? Where will they lead you, to your dreams or to your sadness?
Be Deliberate in Your Thoughts
Create, select and craft the thoughts that take you where you want to go in life. Identify those thoughts that do not…and pull them like you pull weeds out of a flower bed.
Then immediately plant the seed of some newly crafted thoughts from the previous step to be mindful.
Nourish the new thought-seed:
Write it down in first person: I have __. I Am __. I am doing __.
Read it frequently.
Own it every single time you think of it…as if it is you, already.
Feel it viscerally using your imagination. Choose the feelings that go with having it.
Take some time to close your eyes, relax and create some dreams about having it, doing it, being it. Play with it. Embrace it, as if it is you and your life.
Be committed and persistent
Remember the power of commitment only has the limit that are its owner’s limit…you. Whatever you believe is your limit, is, by definition. You establish your limits.Read this poem by Goethe; it’s on this blog and can be downloaded.
Keep at it. Using these inner power skills the only way you do not get what you want is if you give up. By definition, the Universe, the Intelligent Quantum Field, the God/Spirit/Buda… always says ‘YES’ to your deep-seated requests of life.
Set yourself up for Success
Practice this on easier things in the beginning, Do not try to use this on the most difficult thing. Select easy, simple things to learn how it feels to approach it differently. Practice it and learn that you can gain dominion over you and your inner self.
I find that worthwhile
This is a natural way for high achievers to improve themselves: Always find that place to accept life as it, Let It Be, because from there you can most effectively initiate change.

What can we do about things in life that we want to change?
The 3.1 pound mass in your skull is the brain, the physical organ that takes all inputs and directs and produces outputs in your body.
Your mind is your awareness of all these processes and is the avenue for you to gain more control and direction over these processes.
What we call thoughts are simply electrical impulses in the brain that your mind interprets as thoughts.
In other words the brain is the physical organ of the mind. And the mind is the consciousness of the brain. For those who tend to ponder these things consider the chicken and egg paradox when it comes to the brain and mind 😉
At its base operation the brain is a biological computer. It takes input from the amazingly designed intertwined systems that make up our physical body; the nervous system, respiratory system, endocrine system, blood system, musculature system, on and on… we have truly amazing human systems.
The importance of your brain
The way your brain is programmed is based on your family, education and life experiences. All that you have learned and experienced in life caused your brain to be programmed to do life they way you currently do it. The way you get up out of a chair is a brain program. The way you think/feel/behave in romantic relationships is a mental program. It is very specifically programmed for all the specifics you do in life.
Consider this: Every single act that you take, every thought you think and every feeling you feel is a result of the current mental programs running in your brain. Left unchanged people will experience their lives with the same thoughts/feelings/actions they have always had which yields the same life they have always had.
How interesting does that sounds?

Where do you go to get new mental software to re-program your brain with?
You get new software by making it up from the different inputs that are available to you. You can observe someone you know who has that type of relationship you desire to have. Notice what she says about it? How does she behave? What does he seem to think about himself when it comes to this relationship? What thoughts must someone be having who has the type of relationship you desire?
Remember that we are in relationship with every single thing, item, possession, animal and person in our life. We have relationships with them. AND we have relationships with our self.
I also assist people in creating new software. When someone comes to me we take a brief evaluation of what their experiences, thoughts, behaviors and feelings are in that particular relationship that he or she desires to change. Then I assist you in finding out what you really want… what you want to choose to think/ feel/ behave/ experience in that relationship. We will then select different techniques for you to be able to input the new software. Audio recordings, guided mental directions, meditative, others.
Re-Programming using Both Modes of Brain Operation
But there is something so much more to consider. Most coaches and therapists do not help your WHOLE brain be educated. This is the key to quickening your changes.
Because your mind has at least two modes of operation getting new software installed takes more diligence than just putting in a CD on your computer. The primary mode that people are accustomed to is the Outer Action Mode (left hemisphere – logical) where your senses are engaged and you are doing regular life. By reading affirmations regularly and taking part in forward-moving discussions in this mode you help to make changes.

In the Inner Creation Mode (ICM) of your brain operation you can supercharge the programming by using your Imagination. The methodologies I teach clients access this mode in many ways. Remember from science class that potential energy remains a potential until it is activated to become kinetic energy which is when it becomes an action in life. Our potential is the same. It resides as a potential until we Activate it to become an action in our life.

It is more than valuable to tame your thoughts and direct them to chosen endeavors. It has been shown that effective self-direction leads to greater mental focus, increases creative thoughts and leads to a major reduction in physical, mental and emotional stresses.
Medical Science tells us that 90% of illnesses are directly caused by persisting levels of stress in our human system. And we know that at least 90% of all problems in life are occurring because of internal persisting stresses (mentally, emotionally, energetically) that prevent the natural good from coming into our life.
To know how to direct our thoughts is actually a fundamental life skill for any person who wishes to live a life beyond their norm. This is part of my repertoire.

And we are so much more than just our Brains and thoughts. There are layers available to each of us that are beneath our mental perceptions fundamentally occurring within and through us. Science has now shown that our organs contain neurons, which are the make-up of our brains that lead to our ability to make mental decisions. The poets and romantics have said for ages that we should follow our hearts. I add to that “while maintaining a balanced input from all of our sensory inputs.” Each person’s heart is a unique layer of valuable guidance available to help them navigate to a better and better life.
The Heart’s Sensory Signals are always occurring within our Human System. To be able to identify the heart signals, listen to them and then make wise decisions using the heart’s input helps people to live a life beyond their norm. This training is part of my repertoire.

Dr. Michael Gershon is picking up on research begun in the early 1900s about how our gastro-intestinal system provides us feedback on much more than just what we eat 😉 His book is The Second Brain.
The intuition can come from sensations in the guts and from unexpected and instantaneous KNOWING thoughts. A person can train their brains to receive intuitive thoughts directly from this energetic channel on cue. This training is part of my repertoire.

Quantum physicists tell us that every person, rock, animal, cloud, waterway, tree – everything – is different levels of vibrating quantum energy. This includes all of life, seen and unseen. Quantum energy contains quantum intelligence. Just like we know that in each of our cells is all the intelligence to recreate our human form.
It is a progressive process to train yourself to have the skill to identify, hear and direct the multitudes of quantum energies – Quantum Intelligence – that make up who you are. This is accomplished by working directly with the Laws of Life including Oneness, Creativity, Law of Attraction, Reciprocal Universe, An Abundant Universe and much more.
Learning these are what many will consider walking a Spiritual Path. Learning these leads to an expanded Cosmology in your MIND.

Finally: Science is Thawing the Resistance to Mainstream Meditation
I understand that most people need science to justify new things that have been serving humanity for thousands of years. Believe me. I am a degreed electrical engineer who relies on logic for much of life and had to do a lot of training to balance out my thought processes to include more intuitive and creative thoughts. But that logical mind runs amok at times and prevents us from doing things that are good for us, especially practices that have proven to help some communities for hundreds of years.
AND the good news is that the re-burgeoning field of neuroscience, now that they have the equipment to do so, is measuring the immediate and noticeable impact on human’s brains while meditating. I caught part of the story on ABC’s Nightline last night and it was great!

Segment 1: Benefits of meditation
It is estimated that 20 million Americans are regular meditators.
Look at the graphs of brain activity while meditating which shows a marked increase in activity. Soon after someone starts meditating the parts of the brain associated with compassion and awareness grow while the parts associated with stress shrink. Plus researchers found that these new meditators were less mean to each other and began to use ‘we’ instead of ‘I’, a sign of letting go of our controlling egos. Great solution to emotional self management, a skill that is needed by all.
They also mention how meditation has made it into some of mainstream America; in Fortune 500 Corporations, elementary schools, musicians, etc.

Segment 2: An interview with the Dalai Lama
Even the Dalai Lama says that he loses his temper once in a while. He continues: if someone does not ever lose their temper then he doesn’t believe them. And if that’s true then they must come from some other space (indicating that they are aliens).
YIPPEE! I SO AGREE. We are not designed to be completely positive. This is a misconception about the impact of meditation. This validates my concept in this blog post Gossip & Effective Communication under ‘Positive Facades’. We are not designed to never have difficulty. We are designed to be authentic. Life is designed as a place where we continue to learn how to be greater. And at times there are ‘downs’.

To my students and coaching clients: please listen to this as motivation to do your daily practice. Remember how it felt in class and make a choice to better your lives for your sake and for your family.
To anyone else: Check this out. Consider it. We have to do something different in life when we want a different outcome.
Trust the science over your internal resistance. Once you begin to do just a few minutes daily in a few weeks you will start noticing a difference to how you view yourself, view life and have more self control and direction. I have taught meditation in Spiritual Centers and through a scientific method that just takes minutes to practice and I still find value and an increasing inner strength plus a stronger sense of self. However you learn it, use it.
To Be receiving new thoughts is the prelude to receiving new things!

We are constantly tuning our personal frequencies (physical, mental, emotional, spiritual) by what we think about and how we feel. The great news is that we have the free will and the response-ability to choose our thoughts and our feelings.
When you want to expand your life experience you have to expand your imagination, since this is the template for your life’s possibilities. When you desire better then imagine it better, first. Next, you start having new thoughts and ideas which you pick from amongst them to choose the selection of thoughts and ideas that you are now going to construct your ever-evolving template for pieces of your life.
A great and easy way to open up that mental channel for generating the new thoughts and ideas is to focus your mind simply by asking life-expansive, curiosity-laden questions.
When you ask the right question you get the right answer!
Compose some questions who’s answer(s) would move you forward on your goal(s) and contemplate them during idle mental time throughout your day. This is great to do while driving. Turn the radio off and play with your imagination. While exercising…
Examples of questions:
How can I flow with the stream of life to effortlessly receive my good?
What can I do today to feel joy?
How do I move aside?
What is my next inspired action to take?
I wonder how I can get my foot in the door at ____?
What one thing can I do differently today?
I am curious to see how this plan is going to unfold?
I wonder what someone thinks and feels throughout their day who has lavish abundance…
…Can I adapt their thoughts and feelings then rehearse them for me?
What doorway is about to open for me to ___?
What new thought will I have that leads me to this goal?
What will I really feel when I achieve this?
